I live in Yelverton with my wife and young son. We have lived there for the last 11 years after moving from London. I was born in Yorkshire and trained as a teacher after leaving school. My first jobs were in Cheshire and Liverpool before becoming a Headmaster in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
Later, I moved into financial services. I started a company providing services to verify documents such as Passports and Driving licences. This enabled his clients to check that their employees and clients were genuine and met the Government guideline of “know your client”. I retired from the company shortly before becoming a District Councillor in 2015.
After becoming a member of South Norfolk Council I was appointed to the Broads Authority and to the Whitlingham Charitable Trust. I am Chairman of South Norfolk’s Development Management (Planning) Committee. I am committed to high quality housing with all the appropriate infrastructure required by modern living standards.
